WRG held an “Emergency Fire Escape Drill” from 4:45pm to 5:30pm on 12th September 2019. The drill aims at teaching staff what to do and how to behave in an emergency, including basic knowledge about fire, escape skills, extinguishing fire and evacuation plans.
The evacuation team, medical team and camera team were ready at 4:00pm. When the alarm rang at 4:45pm, the staff quickly ran down the fire stairs from the third floor to the open space of the factory. The evacuation was fast and orderly.
As drill director, Senior Manager Han Lanying reported that it took 1 minute and 14 seconds from alarm ringing to entire withdraw. The target was achieved.
WRG also invited Captain Wang and Instructor Zhang from Shajing Squadron, to show the staff how to use extinguisher to put out a fire. Staff from different department or key positions have practiced the operation.
Last but not least, Captain Wang and Instructor Zhang explained how to use Fire hydrant.
The planning, contents and requirements of this fire drill is all around and all staff participated the activity. Via the drill, the staff have improved their precaution awareness and self-rescue skills, they have known how to identify dangers and what to do. We will have fire drills regularly to improve our emergency escape abilities and to ensure our safety and security.
